NICE NOTES FROM READERS

Nice article on the middle east.... voices of reason don't seem too common these days. Nice job. M., Toronto.

"I am one with the salmon" is the best lead for any travel article

I have ever read, or wished I had written. I knew you could not hold that level of writing throughout the piece, but reading it proved me wrong. Never in my life did I think that the most exalted of fishes, my cherished trout, could be compared to Elvis, but you did. pure poetry.

I'll be watching for your byline. D.L., Florida.

"The beautiful, dehumanizing breadth of the infinite becomes the vibrant struggle for survival of the minute."

I don't normally read the Post. Who does? But I came across your September 4th article Land of the Smelly Woolies and enjoyed it so much that I am emailing you to tell you so, and I Googled you as well. Although the content of smelly woolies is interesting, it is your writing style that grabbed my attention. You don't waste time, as so many writers do. I hope you never get picked up by K-tel ! Your talent deserves better than that. E.S., Toronto.
